Capcom Unveil Their New Engine With Deep Down

Matt Gardner
#Playstation2013, Capcom, Deep Down, Dragon's Dogma 2?, Panta Rhei, PS4 games, Sony, Yoshinori Ono

The excitable Yoshinori Ono bounded onstage to represent Capcom at Sony's PS4 reveal this evening, stating with a big grin on his face that he wouldn't be talking about Street Fighter, but rather was in the building to show off Capcom new game engine - codenamed Panta Rhei.

He did so by exhibiting a new game - under the name Deep Down - which looked an awful lot like how we've pictured Dragon's Dogma 2 in our dreams.

Speaking of which, we'd like this B'z track to be the title music for the sequel please, Capcom.

Love a bit of B'z. Nice to see that doing game tracks isn't below this awesome duo...

...oh yeah, Deep Down looks alright as well ;)

This is looking very tasty, especially the narrow tunnel bit. Hopefully that weapon select HUD means that was in-game footage.

Yeah my natural reaction when I saw the clip was that this was DD2 in all but name.

Now that would be pretty sweet. :)

"Deep Down" is a working title only...

Deep Down = DD = Dragon's Dogma!

Could well be the next installment - and the bit at the end implies helping each other out online (update of the pawn system?)
Cant wait to find out more-

My above former post was of bad taste in hindsight.

This could also be a worthy entry for the next Dragon's Dogma theme tune:

Funky dragon slaying ahoy.
