Costume System Revealed Among The Answers
After last week’s introduction to the way WildStar would be dealing with the economic side of things, Carbine Studios used their latest WildStar Wednesday to bring a Q&A session that goes into more detail. Hosted by the fine folks over at WildStar Central, the post also explained the Dye system for items, and revealed the previous-unannounced Costume system. We’ve got a round-up of the good stuff after the jump.
In the Q&A, it was explained that to get the best gear possible players will be required to get parts from different areas of the game, with crafting being just one part of this. When asked about the Dye system and if players would be able to alter patterns as well as colours, it was confirmed that only colours would be affected as the patterns “are what makes each item distinct.”
Those looking to give their gear a completely different look will have to use the newly announced Costume system, which will act as a visual overwrite to any armour you are currently wearing whilst retaining their stats. Carbine hopes that this system, when paired up with the Dye system, will allow players to customise the look of their characters as they wish.
The Q&A also addresses item modification and Bind-on-Pickup/Equip items in WildStar. You can read the article in its entirety by heading over to WildStar Central here.
