Carl Versus Dark Souls II #11 - The sound of suffering
The Old Dragonslayer may have been more troublesome than expected, but Carl has a plan - a scheme so brilliant it couldn't possibly fail - an 80's style action montage to get more souls and level up. Does the musical interlude work? Does Carl manage to take down the Old Dragonslayer? Should Carl be allowed near a microphone again? All these questions and more are answered in the conclusion of our Dark Souls II series.

If you want to learn more about Carl's feelings on Dark Souls II, you can read his review here.

Nice to see that the latest incarnation of Ornstein is still a complete pain in the ****! I have to commend you on remaining calm when dealing with him, as I highly doubt that I will be able to do the same.

Also enjoyed the training montage music which lightened the ceaselessly oppressive tone of the game. Roll on the end of April when this finally gets an outing on the PC.

@LordBuckles: I must have done a good job hiding it then, because I was not calm, I assure you! My heart was absolutely pounding by the end of it, but the victory tasted so sweet.

Glad you liked the musical interludes as well! I have a feeling Matt is going to encourage/force me to do more, if he gets his way.

Don't like the way everyone dies, looks too fast and its just a puff of smoke.

Really hope my PC version looks better then this.
