Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night Coming To Vita & PS3 Next Week

The headline says it all, really. Konami has announced that PSOne classic Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night is headed to the European PlayStation store next week, costing £9.99. Symphony Of The Night is generally considered to be the best in the series, boasting superbly-crafted environments, enemies and encounters, and I'm inclined to agree.

Vita compatibility has been confirmed, and we reckon that it will be a great fit for the portable platform, not to mention a great way to spend a train journey. That said, the £9.99 price tag becomes slightly less attractive when compared to XBLA's 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80) offering... that comes with achievement support and a beefed-up soundtrack.

Most PS1 games on PSN, as in 99.99% are between £1.99 £3.99 so there's no excuse for this other than greed. One of the only other high priced game is another of Konami's games, Metal Gear Solid but even that is 'only' £7.99.
