Cel-Shaded Parkour Platformer Cloudbuilt Looks Amazing

Seriously, it does. Swedish Indie studio Coilworks are creating a reimagining of "old-school action platformers" that combines arcadey third-person parkour with a eyecatching cell-shaded visual style. Cloudbuilt's twenty levels feature multiple routes, with players empowered from the very beginning, placing the emphasis on skill as well as exploration.

Cloudbuilt has no release date as yet - we've got a trailer, more details and screenshots after the break. You can read more on the official Cloudbuilt site or on IndieDB.

Cloudbuilt stars Demi: an injured war veteran who's languishing in "mental rehabilitation." The action takes place inside her mind, as she gradually learns to walk, run and move again, probably in stark contrast to her broken body. Hostiles can be avoided, evaded or engaged in combat, while "extreme wall runs, dashes and jumps" are on hand to solve a sequence of platform-based puzzles.
