CoD Elite PC Beta Stalled Until Autumn

Call of Duty's new community hub, Elite, rolled out its Xbox 360 beta last week. The stat-tracking social network is due to launch with Modern Warfare 3 in November, but PC gamers have been dealt a blow by Activision, who've confirmed their beta won't be available until Autumn at the earliest. Bad news if you're a PC gamer; but remember 360 fans, it's live now!

"PC players will have to wait until the fall to try it out," Activision's Social Media Manager Dan Amrach told One of Swords. Activision has routinely shunned the PC audience, dropping dedicated servers, mod tools and customary PC incentives for years now with each Call of Duty release. It obviously doesn't value the platform as highly as its console counterparts.

Chime in, Dealspwners. Has Activision abandoned the PC market? Or are they simply moving with the times? [One Of Swords]
