At the risk of sounding melodramatic and like I’m simply describing every game sequel ‘as one of the most anticipated of the year’ for the sake of it, let me just say; my recurring bout of enthusiasm is pure coincidence. Because you have to agree, there is no doubt this term applies to Assassin’s Creed 2 (which featured in the last post) – but surely I am justified in using the same praise describe Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which, that’s right, is also one of the most anticipated game sequels of the year!
So if you’re nodding your head in agreement check out another of Argos’ great pre-order deals. They are offering Call of Duty: MW 2 for £35.99. But remember the game shows up at a price of £44.99 on the website, however after adding to your basket, simply enter the code GAME20 to get 20% off and bring the price down to £35.99. This is a very good deal given that the next best pre-order deal while set you back around £42.
Fans of the first Modern Warfare addition will of course know the style of gameplay to expect in the sequel. It is going to be one fast-paced, intense and visually superb first person shooter with a team of international special ops (dubbed the coalition of badasses) raising all kinds of politically deniable mayhem across the globe. Similar to MW 1, the player will once again be guiding an assortment of characters ranging from British SAS, US rangers, Delta Force and the CIA, through their various missions.
However apart from a short preview offered here on IGN, concrete details about what innovative new features to expect remain sketchy. The game is still undergoing a rigorous development process before its final release (hopefully in the beginning of November). But if you loved the first edition and don’t mind waiting, you’d be wise to take advantage of this deal as by all accounts Activision has something special in the pipeline.
