EA have dealt their hand with Battlefield 3, now it's time for Activision to respond. Launching next Tuesday, Modern Warfare 3 will pick up right from where the previous game left off. Soap, Price and Makarov will return in an action packed bullet-romp that will almost certainly be completely over-the-top, utterly ridiculous and take itself far too seriously. And that's absolutely fine.
So with the FPS monster just around the corner, we thought we'd kick off November Madness by giving eighteen lucky people the chance to get it on launch day for free. Expect another evening on Friday 4th November of hourly questions, awful puns and the occasional poll.
This is how things are going to work. Every hour, on the hour, between 6pm and midnight there'll be a question going up on either the @Dealspwn or @HotUKDeals streams on Twitter. HotUKDeals will be kicking things off at six and then alternating proceedings into the night like so:
- 6pm - HotUKDeals
- 7pm - Dealspwn
- 8pm - HotUKDeals
- 9pm - Dealspwn
- 10pm - HotUKDeals
- 11pm - Dealspwn
All you need to do is reply on Twitter with the answer and the #winMW3 hashtag within the hour.
For example, if this is the question:
Win Modern Warfare 3. Who voices Soap MacTavish? Reply with answer & hashtag before 7pm. #winMW3
If the question came from Dealspwn, then you should answer:
Kevin McKidd @dealspwn #winMW3
Or if the question came from HUKD, then answer:
Kevin McKidd @HotUKDeals #winMW3
Individual question contests will last an hour, after which three winners with the correct answer will be chosen at random for each question. You can expect the 6pm winners to be announced at 7.30, the 7pm winners to be announced at 8.30 and so on. We'll be pitching in with a few off the cuff FPS queries and so on, after all this is your night. We spend all day telling you what we think, now it's your turn.
A few house rules:
- One entry will be accepted per account per question. You're welcome to compete in all of the question contests, but the maximum you'll win is one copy.
- One entrant per household.
- UK entrants only.
