*CLOSED* Competition: Win Chu's Dynasty! (X360)

Chu's Dynasty is one of the most visually stunning, deep and professional games to have released on Xbox Live Indie service, EVER.

I wouldn't say something like this lightly. Tribetoy have spent the last two years crafting a bona fide masterpiece that puts most XBLA titles to shame. Imagine if Super Smash Bros had been created with eyepopping hand-drawn artwork and soulful period Japanese soundtrack and you'll be somewhere near the mark. Each character feels unique and nuanced, with different fighting styles and some deep energy-based techniques.

Oh, and the visuals. The visuals! Mercy! The level of polish and quality goes beyond impressive and into genuinely unbelievable. Just... look.

Okay, basically, this is a game that you want. Luckily the utter legends over at Tribetoy have furnished me with a promo code so that one lucky reader can get involved.

As always, I like to keep things simple. Just drop us a line in the comments and show Chu's Dynasty some love! And as usual, any evidence that you've played the demo or done some research will stand you in good stead. It couldn't be simpler.

Chu's Dynasty is out now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points.

I very rarely get demos from the marketplace but went for Chu's Dynasty and loved it. It's a real shame it's christmas and I can't really justify spending any more this month!!

This game combines the strategic fighting of Street-Fighter with the multi-tiered 4 player fighting mayhem of Super-Smash Brothers. Then there is a new twist to the game with time manipulation allowing the player to fight through four campaigns and learn how the gods where born.

This is a real little gem. Highly stylized artistic design wraps up a fine 2d brawler. It reminds me a lot of last blade 2 or samurai showdown with multi-tiered platform stages. Clever little touches like moving around your character as a fairy before each round to find a good spot to begin is great. Big up to Chu's and Tribetoy for it's originality and flare.

I have been looking for an xmas game to mess about with with my brother. The game has to be a vs. and the castle crashers demo got boring to quick. This demo did it for me. OK I only played for 5 mins but you can clearly see it is a good game. I would love to see all the levels and characters. Give me your spare code and I will be able to shut my big brothers gob up over xmas. He sucks at games like these.

I've spent so many hours with Smash Bros. Melee (and slightly fewer hours with Brawl), I think I've worn those through! I've even spent some time on Rag-doll Kung Fu on the PS3, but that doesn't look a patch on Chu's Dynasty... It'd be great to win this so I can school my friends in yet another game ;)

Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi Afi.

Man, I've never missed the sound of a ryu shouting hadouken so much in my life.

Joking aside, the game is pretty dece. I'm not going to knock on them too bad for the VO, considering it was a team of around three.

Game looks sharp as heck. Tried the demo out when it first hit, and as much as I love it I'm having difficulties getting used to using the 360 controller for a fighting game (I use a stick).

Huge props to the guy for hitting up SRK and getting feedback for the first patch. I love it when developers listen to competitive players.

I say the xbox has been long due for a fun 4 player fighting game a la Super Smash Bros, and this game sure delivers!

More love to indie developers!
I plan to attempt at becoming one as soon as i finish my current projects.

Onsyman  Dec. 21, 2010 at 21:20

after I played this game's demo I got it, the only thing this console lacks, Smash Bros!
this game is so much like that great game, and for that cheap price I'l probably get it myself (if I don't win it here :>)
