We'll be able to make secret bases, transform Metagross into a powerful new form and dress Pikachu up in adorable outfits in this year's Pokemon remake. As a grown man, perhaps I ought to make some sort of dismissive comment here, but you know as well as I do that we can't bloody wait.
Let's process the latest intel, Mega Metagross, a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon standing at 2.5 m (8’02”) and weighing 942.9 kg (2078.7 lbs). Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact.
Not levitate, though. For some reason. You know, seeing as it's hovering in the air.
Regardless, Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defence, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offence and defence.
The Pokemon Amie happiness minigame will make another appearance, alongside "Cosplay Pikachu," who loves to don a variety of cute costumes. Apparently you'll meet different versions of the exhibitionist electric mouse near contest halls -- presumably we'll be able to dress him up in little ribbons and cute hats and shoes and damn it I'll be 29 this December.
We also get to see some revamped Gym Leaders and the return of the Secret Base mechanic, which will allow us to create and share our own hangouts. Will you be buying this new version of one of the newest old Pokemon games on a new platform, or are you newly too old? [My head hurts - Ed]
