Crowdfunding and Corruption - Game Buzz #84

This week on Game Buzz, we turn our attention to some rather serious topics. First up, we chat about the misadventures of Yogventures, and the cool half million down the drain from the ill-fated Yogscast Kickstarter game. Then we have a rather length natter about the ethics of YouTubers taking money from developers and whether or not there really is all that much difference between reviewers and an opinionated Let's Play aficionado when it comes down to influencing an audience and the ethics of responsibility.

Also on this week's podcast, we chat about Microsoft's plans to dissolve Xbox Entertainment, and check in with Star Citizen as the funding push almost hits $50 million.

Game Buzz | Episode 84 - Crowdfunding and Corruption. Recorded 18th July, 2014.

Parental Advisory: We've tried to keep it as conversational and informal as possible, and you should be warned that there may be some instances of strong language.

UPDATE: Yogscast have now issued a statement that's essentially a non-statement.

"there's no value in going into detail"

We would beg to differ on that one.

Any truth to the rumours about their next crowd funder?

If they get $20'000 they'll give brief details of what went wrong, $75'000 and they'll give more detail, $300'000 and they'll make their books public...
