Far Cry 2 is one of the most divisive games ever made, splitting opinion right down the middle. Us critics went mad for it, however - as it's an FPS that's all about the horrors of being truly alone in hostile territory rather than instant gratification. It's the journey that's important, not the destination, and finally reaching your target after slogging through the teeming jungle is more of a reward than the objective itself. I'd personally argue that it's one of the most underrated shooters of this generation... and £2.49 is a great price for it unless you're holding out for a Far Cry collection pack.
Plus, the fire mechanics are insane.
