Crystal Dynamics: Tomb Raider Reboot "Not Just One Game"

Crystal Dynamics have stated that next year's reboot is only the start for the all-new Lara Croft, recently confirmed to be played by True Blood actress Camilla Luddington.

Speaking to Videogamer, Crystal Dynamics’ global brand director Karl Stewart said, “I have to be careful because I know exactly where she’s going.

“You have to look at the future, you have to look at where… It’s not just one game.

“At the end of this game we want her to be that strong female character that is willing to go and seek out mysteries and seek out tombs. She’s going to be going to plenty of tombs in this game, but we’re going to have somebody who wants to go on that adventure, who wants to be the person that she now is. That’s the goal.”

Stewart would sadly not be drawn any further on the franchise's future.

“I don’t want to say anymore on it because I’ll have the game director of the next game going, ‘What the fuck are you saying?’”

Camilla Luddington is. I never said Angeleina Jolie should be Lara Croft.

True, but I didn't say you did just pointing out that English or not seems to have no relevance...

Well the character is English, so personally, I think it's more believable if whoever plays them is English too.

Fair enough, personally I think as long as they can do a convincing accent it doesn't matter :) (well that and I'd much rather look at Jenny Lawerence ;))

Best Lara model so far was Jill De Jong, she was just right for the roll... though French or Dutch I think!

Was she the secretary or receptionist or something that was 'discovered' for the role? or am I thinking of someone else entirely?
