Is there a current resurgence of point n click games ?

With Monkey Island being released I now see games like The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle. I grew up playing adventure games but I'm unsure if younger gamers would enjoy them as much.

I've noticed that too. I'm all for it, Monkey Island was SUPERballs.

Yes there is, and it's been happening for a while. Point 'n' click games are perfectly suited as digital downloads as well as relatively easy things for indie studios to code. Some of the best games of the year so far have been point n click adventures (Gemini Rue, the Hector series and Blackwell Deception among them - reviews on site), and I reckon that the demand has never actually gone away. If anything, we still want them just as badly!
