The jury is still out as to whether this is simply a horrible, low quality waste of money or a nice budget bit of fun, perfect for multiplayer fun after a few bottles of cherry Lambrini. If you're willing to give it Just Dance the benefit of the doubt then you can do no better than buying from Simply Games who are currently selling it for just £14.85, nearly two pounds down from the next cheapest
As you are surely aware, thanks to the title and the adverts ramming it down your throat for months, Just Dance is a dancing game featuring such pop hits as its namesake by Lady Gaga—oh wait, no it doesn't. In fact it seems that the title instead refers simply to the fact that the game requires you to do nothing but just dance with a Wiimote in hand. There's no buttons to push, nothing to unlock, no difficulty scaling, you just copy the colourful silhouette characters on screen as best you can and hope your efforts lead to points.
Critically the game has been pretty much unaniomously panned and serious gamers also tend to balk at this slimline offering from should-know-better Ubisoft but on sites like Amazon, the buyer reviews are overwhelming positive. So perhaps if you are willing to accept it for what it is—a very basic game but one which has the power to turn get togethers from sit-down affairs into the kind of parties you might have once enjoyed if you were ever a teenage girl with a penchant for throwing sleepovers and dancing along to the Spice Girls, then you might find it worth the £15 price tag.
