Dark Souls 2 Concept Art Is Dark, Soulful

A bountiful harvest of Dark Souls 2 concept art has found its way online, showing off some of the twisted monsters, powerful gear and haunting environments we might encounter in the anticipated sequel. From Software have confirmed that Dark Souls 2 will be set in a different time period to the original, and will make pains to be more "understandable" to new players, but will still retain its ferocious difficulty.

I haven't played Dark Souls although I did put a good few hours into Demon Souls.

Hopefully by trying too make it more understandable they mean adding a proper narrative to the game as I felt that is what Demon Souls sorely missed.

That was the point, you are meant to piece together the story - it's not a spoonfed on the rails game.

That's all well and good having a world that helps build the story but having a characterless, mute character as the protagonist just doesn't do it for me.
