Home Sweet Home
Dean Hall has revealed the very first screenshots of DayZ's standalone version, which is set to be a cut above the original mod in terms of visual and detail. In particular, interior environments appear to be nicely fleshed out, and all buildings will be explorable rather than tantalising us with unyielding fake doors.
"Our artists have been very busy, methodically going through all buildings in Chernarus and adding interiors," Hall explained on the DayZ blog. "The task can be pretty difficult, when the buildings where made interiors were not considered so it an be a challenge for the artists to make the interiors both look correct and work properly."
Note that the following screenshots represent work in progress. The DayZ standalone edition will apparently release this year with support from Bohemia Interactive.
