Dead Island Pre-Order Exclusives Over At Steam!

There's not long to go now until Dead Island shuffles it's way to us and if you're looking to pre-order it, then you should probably think about heading on over to Steam because they've been given some pre-order exclusives!

The game's publisher, Deep Silver, have given a full run down of the goodies that'll be included if you grab the Steam pre-order, and the first is a rather tasty looking weapon called "The Ripper", which is the bastard love child of a baseball bat and a buzz saw, so it'll no doubt be good for hacking off limbs, spilling some blood, and dealing out some blunt weapons trauma too! Now, if you're a console user and you've started to cry because you want to wield this weapon, then you needn't worry because you'll get your chance if you pre-order the game at Gamestop.

You'll also be able to jump into the "Bloodbath Arena" add-on straight a way for free, although it's currently included with pre-orders at a number of merchants and'll be made available to purchase on all formats, for around $10 (just over £6), a month after the game's release, so I guess at the very least you'll be a month ahead of any of your friends who haven't pre-ordered a copy of the game.

I couldn't be more excited about this one and the chance to get hold of a few optional extras is incredibly tempting, but sadly pre-ordering it won't make the time pass any faster! Dead Island's out on 6th September for PC, Xbox 360 & PS3. [shacknews]
