If you threw a bit of comedy, a decent amount of third person shooting and action, together with a wonderful platform format, into a blender, whizzed it all up and let it set into a Wii disc mould, the result would almost certainly be Death Jr. Root of Evil.
You can grab a copy of the game on the Wii for £7.99 from Powerplay Direct, which'll make you a saving of exactly £2 on the next best deal coming in from Cool Shop UK.
The story for the game reads like something out of a surreal fairytale and it's great fun to see unfold before your eyes. Death Jr. and his school friend Pandora accidentally unleash Furi whilst looking for something that'll pass them through biology, and she quickly goes in search of some new minions, which she finds in the nearby toy cemetery.
It's important to note that if you've played this on the PSP then you probably won't get much more from it by picking up a copy for the Wii, although some aspects of the game have definitely been improved by the transition including the control you get over the targeting reticule from using the Wii mote, and the co-op mode which is a good laugh even if it does make things even easier.
Despite the multiple difficulty settings that offer you the chance for another play through or two, if you're looking for something to get your teeth into then you're better off going elsewhere.
