Deep Down Set In The Future, Has Procedurally Generated Dungeons

Matt Gardner
Capcom, Deep Down, PS4 games, Sony, TGS 2013

Capcom's Yoshinori Ono took the stage at Sony's Japanese presser earlier today to reveal new information about mysterious title Deep Down.

Ono showed off a new gameplay trailer for the title as well as explaining a few things. By far the most surprising tidbit of information was that the game is actually set in New York in the year 2094, and will see players entering a series of procedurally-generated underground caves to take the fight to an array of monsters.

What this means is that the cavern layouts, the monsters hiding within them, and the loot and weapons you'll pick up along the way will be different every time you play. The game will support up to four players in online multiplayer.

Can't decide whether to get Dark Souls or Assassin's Creed?

Capcom to the rescue.

What's the name of the game? Deep down set in the future? Or Deep down?

Not sure what you're getting at, chieftex. If you're nitpicking grammar, then there's nothing missing, and it reads fine, stating that the game is set in the future, and has procedurally generated dungeons. If you're not nitpicking, then the game is called Deep Down.

I was 50/50.

My nitpicking side thinks the "Set In The Future" part should not have uppercase letters. My non-nitpicking part genuinely wanted to know the name of the game, as I hadn't heard of it.
