Year two of Destiny has officially kicked off today with the release of The Taken King expansion. With new areas, new strikes, a whole bunch of new weapons to loot, and the removal of the Light level system, Bungie are essentially using it as a platform to relaunch the game after a divisive first year. The Legendary Edition includes all previously released content alongside the expansion, so we've searched around for the best prices to help former players and newcomers who want to give Destiny's second year a go.
- Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition (PS4) - £38.99
- Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition (Xbox One) - £38.99
- Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition (PS3) - £37.99
- Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition (Xbox 360) - £37.99
While we have yet to get hands-on with the new content included in The Taken King, we have had chance to check out the gameplay and progression changes in the 2.0 patch that came out recently. The changes to the XP system make the game feel far less complicated in terms of leveling up, and the Light system being switched to a stat boost mechanic is exactly how it should have been from the start. Hopefully the new content will provide a reason to stick around in Destiny throughout year two of the online shooter's life, and we'll let you know our feelings on it as soon as we play it. In the meantime, you can always check out our launch review from last year, along with our House of Wolves review and our impressions of the Destiny's patch 2.0 changes.
