To say that Tomonobu Itagaki's Devil's Third has suffered from a convoluted development cycle is a bit of an understatement. The project has changed publishers several times, with little or no new info seeping through the cracks since its 2010 reveal (beyond THQ dropping it before they collapsed), but the auteur behind Dead Or Alive has confirmed that his outrageous action game is still very much alive.
In this week's issue of Famitsu, as reported by Polygon, Itagaki confirmed that development is still in full swing. "It's going along really well," he said during a short interview. "We're discussing things with publishers; we're continuing to expand on and deepen the gameplay. That's about the level we're at."
Who these publishers are, and any hint of a release window, still remain unknown. Apparently Devil's Third won't show up to E3, so don't hold your breath.
