Diablo 3's retooled console version arrives on PS3 and Xbox 360 this September, but won't hit next-gen consoles until next year.
"The Diablo 3 team has actually just received the new PS4 development kits so the translation for that platform is yet to be done," Diablo Fans reports after conducting an interview with Blizzard staffers Josh Mosqueira, Travis Day and Wyatt Cheng. "Diablo 3 will not be a launch date title for the PS4. It will come in 2014."
Blizzard aren't known for rushing games out (that's an understatement), and it's good to see current-gen support continuing throughout 2013. We'll naturally let you know when we get a whiff of a firm launch window.
The console version of Diablo 3 is slated for September 3rd on PS3 and Xbox 360. It won't integrate with Battle.net or the RMAH, but can be played in local multiplayer or offline as a result.
