Disaster: Day of Crisis is a terribly cheesy and as silly as the most absurd disaster movie you can imagine but sometimes a bit of popcorn and preposterousness is just what you fancy.

Former US Marine and member of the International Rescue Team, Raymond Bryce is having one hell of a day. Dealing (or rather failing to deal) with the death of his partner, Raymond finds himself embroiled in a plot involving the FBI, nuclear weapons and the kidnapped sister of said ex partner. It is not long before the whole world goes a little crazy and Raymond finds himself dealing with a laundry list of natural disasters, each one epic in proportions.
Day of Crisis makes up for what it lacks in class with plenty of fun and a story so tacky and ridiculous that you can't help but grin. That said it is far too easy and only clocks in at about twelve hours play-time. The graphics and sound are serviceable but certainly nothing special and many of the sound effects are likely to irritate more than immerse. However the disaster sections often look pretty damn close to awesome and the OTT voicework matches the cheesy tone of the game perfectly. There's a silly amount of gaming styles mashed in here
Don't go in expecting anything life changing and you might just have a really good time with this game - not bad for less than a tenner.
