We've got two downloadable release dates for your calendar - for both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. Bloodthirsty brawler The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile has been confirmed for an April release on XBLA, and the PS3 version of Hard Corps: Uprising will be hitting PSN later this month. Let's take a look at these two hardcore retro-inspired titles as well as the all-important dates.
First up is The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile. Ska Studios have announced their brutal slaughterfest for an April 6th launch, complete with 3D support and more blood than you can rev a chainsaw at. It's the sequel to the outrageous and utterly fantastic Dishwasher: Dead Samurai that hit XBLA back in 2007, and we have high hopes for this next horrifying installment. Jason Silva, the developer and coder behind Ska Studios, has also released a number of Indie titles including ZP2KX and the all-conquering I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1
Well worth a download if you can't wait for April. [Joystiq]
There's also good news for PS3 owners. Konami has confirmed that Hard Corps: Uprising will be bringing its tight action and ludicrous difficulty to PSN on March 15th; a scant few weeks after its time-exclusive launch as an Xbox Live House Party flagship title. Score one for the multiplatform crowd!
I recently awarded Hard Corps: Uprising 7/10 in my recent review; praising its excellent run and gun action as well as its eyecatching art design. However, an aggravating checkpoint mechanic conspires to ruin the fun for all but the most patient (or skilful) players.
