Whilst we might not have been over the moon with joy at Dragon Age II, we're not churlish enough to think that there aren't some people out there eager to continue Hawke's adventuring with some tasty DLC. To those people we say 'Huzzah' and 'Congratulations!', for they have infinitely more patience and a greater capacity for overlooking faults than we do. Oh, and we have three newly released screenshots for you.
Looking a bit like a mash-up of Tolkien, The Guild and any heist movie you've ever seen, Mark of the Assassin sees the beardy Hawke team up with an elven assassin named Tallis, voiced by Felicia Day who's soon to be starring in the upcoming web miniseries Dragon Age: Redemption, to steal a jewel called The Heart of the Many from a pesky Orlesian Baron.
'Mark of the Assassin features new items, new enemies and monsters and new environments as well as giving players the opportunity to experience a new, tactical way to play with the return of Stealth gameplay,' said Bioware's Chris Priestly last month. 'Plus, along with the new environments and monsters, you will learn more about the Orlesians and Qunari.'
Perhaps most excitingly, you'll get to leave the
repetitive mess great city that is Kirkwall and mince around the Free Marches for a bit.
The DLC drops on October 11th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
