Wow, okay, here's another ShopTo deal that's ripe for the plucking. Bioware's Dragon Age has received a fair few deals over the last few months thanks to a variety of vouchers and special offers- but currently, the cheapest way of getting your hands on the Xbox 360 version of the dark fantasy epic is ShopTo's £11.86. This will save you £3 compared to the next cheapest price from Sendit- and is the lowest prices we've seen yet.
Matt's full review should give you the lowdown on the Dragon Age Origins experience, but suffice to say Bioware have crafted another deep and time-consuming RPG that's difficult to put down. Gory combat, multiple character origin stories (hence the name, natch) and a multitude of romances and endings make for a capable game that puts Molyneux to shame.
That said, as a rabid Bioware fan I was quite disappointed by Dragon Age in a variety of ways. Chief amongst my grievances is the roster of characters, who are simply one-dimensional cookie-cutter cliches that are difficult to get attached to. They all sign up to your quest for arbitrary reasons, poor scripting and some aggravating voice acting (shut up Alistair, for the love of all that's good and holy) rank this motley crew as one of the least inspired in Bioware's history. Oh, except Shale. She's awesome.
The generic and overused fantasy setting may also deter veteran RPG players... but Dragon Age is still a solid and bloody experience that's well worth your time and £11.86 of your money.
