If the recent film adaptation almost ruined your love for the much-loved anime, the well-received Dragon Ball Origins on the Nintendo DS can be bought from Asda for just £9.91!
According to a price-comparison, Asda’s offer for Dragon Ball Origins is the cheapest around, with a two-pound saving! Unlike the abysmal film, Origins average rating of 78/100 on MetaCritic restores some semblance of credibility to the Dragon Ball series, with GamePro awarding it a 90 Score, and 3DJuegos claiming it “is without doubt one of the best Dragon Ball titles”.
Essentially a remake of the Dragon Ball anime, chronicling hero Goku’s fledgling steps as a martial-artist extraordinaire. Goku, despite seeming human, is, in fact, a Saiyan, an alien warrior race, capable of transforming into giant apes, hence the tail. You control Goku via the stylus, dodging attacks and delivering your own. Both of the DS’ screens are utilised to display the vibrant, cel-shaded graphics.
