Dragon's Crown Coming To Europe On October 11th

Vanillaware-developed brawler Dragon's Crown is coming to Europe in two months' time, NIS America confirms today. The gorgeous PS3 and Vita exclusive met with massive critical success when it released earlier last month, despite obnoxious fans crushing the few critics who dared to speak out against its somewhat controversial art design and portrayal of female characters. Gameplay is utterly exquisite by all accounts.

Well, we'll find out on October 11th. An exclusive art book will serve as a pre-order bonus from participating retailers.

There definitely seems to be a disparity between the amount of armour recommended for blokes as opposed to that sported by the fairer sex...

The armour disparity is inherent to the entire fantasy genre, to be honest. Some (including the artist) argue that Dragon's Crown is a pastiche and hyper-realised send up of classic fantasy film posters and book covers, and I buy that - at least until we get hands-on. Phrasing.

Play pretty much any MMORPG and you'll encounter the same sillyness, with dudes getting insanely ornate full-body gear while female characters receive chainmail bikinis and angel wings. I'd like to see the same armour implemented across both genders to be honest, or at least give both genders the choice of whether to wear full armour or skimpy outfits.

Give us lads a chance to model the plate mail bra and combat garter for once, eh Blizzard and ArenaNet? :P If Guild Wars 2 female necromancers wear thigh garters into battle, and you've got a canonical reason why, surely the same should be true of the fellas?

EDIT: Wow, so apparently I actually care a bit about this issue. Thought this was only going to be a short comment.
