Dreamfall Chapters Hits Steam Greenlight

Another Stretch Goal Also Hit

More news from Red Thread Games this morning, with the announcement that Dreamfall: Chapters: The Longest Journey is now on Steam Greenlight, and awaiting community votes. The much-requested move has been done in an effort to provide even more ways for the Kickstarted adventure game sequel to reach potential buyers.

While those who already pledged will receive DRM-free digital or physical copies, the idea is to provide even more option in how players choose to play Dreamfall Chapters, along with hopes that by getting onto Steam will attract more attention to the Kickstarter campaign. You can check out the Greenlight page at the link here.

In other news, the $1,050,000 stretch goal, titled “Mystery is important, señorita,” has been reached and will see the return of the House of All Worlds – a location that played an important role in The Longest Journey. The next stretch goal at $1.1 million will see the creation of “Storytime,” an interactive comic-book that will come with each copy of Dreamfall Chapters, and will recap the story so far in TLJ saga.

Finally, last night Red Thread Games announced that the previously unrevealed $1.75 million stretch goal will be created and chosen by the community. While they have been careful to state that only realistic suggestions will be taken seriously, the best ones will be put to a vote, with the most popular becoming the stretch goal proper. If you’ve got your own crazy ideas you can submit them by posting in the comments section here.
