Driveclub gameplay tears up the Canadian countryside

We've been giving Driveclub's hopeless PR campaign a rare old bashing of late, and rightly so, but the fact remains that we still hold out hope for the game itself. Evolution Studios are no strangers to great racing games and with luck the finished article will let us leave all this unpleasantness behind us.

So with that in mind, here's some new gameplay footage of the production build in which you can ogle some shiny Zondas ragging around the Canadian countryside. If you want the full 1080p effect, be sure to click through to the official site. "Ooh," you'll say. "Aaah." "How do you pronounce 'Huayra?'"

The 30FPS revelations and horrible launch window have put many backs up, but here's hoping that the PS4 gets an exclusive racer worth buying. Thoughts?

I have none about this game. At one point, I was really interested and a tiny bit excited, but that's out the window :\

Not overwhelmed by the gameplay. Can't see anything new or exciting compared to racers from the PS3 era.Even the track looks pretty generic :(

What's it's USP? The graphics look nice enough, but nicer than what's already out there?
Not sure if it brings anything else to the table.

I thought it looked pretty good to be honest... and I'm usually such a downer!

Did you not hear snookums? The game is SOCIAL! YOU CAN RACE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

Not like that's not been possible for 15 years.

PS, graphics, 30fps. After the initial hype, this game has turned into the biggest disappointment ever. I may be tempted to suggest this game fades away to avoid any more PR disasters.
