If you were hoping to be booting up Driver San Francisco on your specced-up rig this month, I'm afraid we have some bad news. Ubisoft have opted to push the release date for Driver San Francisco on the PC back by a month, to September 30th. Console versions are unaffected, leaving PC owners to watch on from the sidelines for over four weeks before they can begin astrally-projecting themselves from car to car.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has commented on the issue surrounding Driver San Francisco's multiplayer. As it stands, you can only jump online to play with others; split-screen or offline options do not exist. According to Ubisoft, opting for this tactic - where their game is always online - has seen a "clear reduction in piracy of our titles which required a persistent online connection, and from that point of view the requirement is a success".
