Driver San Francisco fans rejoice, as Ubisoft has today announced plans to release the first batch of post-release content absolutely free. 12 new routes will be accessible in online modes on September 15th. Then, for the next ten weeks, 10 all new routes will be available to download every week. Again, for absolutely free. Furthermore, Ubisoft has revealed the new game-to-web service Driver Club, which is available right now providing you have a Uplay account.
The Driver Club, which can be found here, is available across both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Driver San Francisco. It allows you to check your and your friends' in-game statistics which can then be paraded on leaderboards; upload and show off your clips captured in-game so they can be rated by others; review and maintain the Community facts section and track all your friends' progress in the game.
Additionally, Driver Club has its own self-contained achievements, although we have no word on how they work. Perhaps who must upload a certain amount of videos or reach the top spot in particular leaderboards. Uplay is Ubisoft's proprietary online pass, and will soon become a mandatory feature in all their upcoming games.
