Reverb Publishing and Trendy Entertainment have confirmed that Dungeon Defenders, the action RPG-meets-tower-defence title that has received glowing praise from early reviews, will be releasing for PC and XBLA on October 19th. Players will choose from four different classes and meet a horde of marauding enemies head-on in a mix of real time strategy and hack and slash gameplay, with support for up to four cooperative heroes both online and in split-screen. More details and a trailer after the break.
It’s been a long time coming, but the day is finally here to announce when we’ll be unleashing the full console version of Dungeon Defenders upon the masses, and we couldn’t be happier. The console version of Dungeon Defenders has more content, more depth and more challenge than many full retail boxed games, so we can’t wait to get it into players’ hands so they can experience this epic role playing game as it was intended to be played. - Jeremy Stieglitz, COO and co-founder of Trendy Entertainment
The original Dungeon Defenders is already out on mobile marketplaces - and a PSN version is definitely in the works (no release date as yet, I'm afraid). We'll keep you posted, as an announcement will be coming "soon."
We've also got a new trailer for you featuring the Squire class.
