Dungeon Defenders has passed a million unit sales across Xbox LIVE, PSN and Steam. One of our shortlisted titles for Best Strategy Game of 2011 as well as Best Multiplayer, the tower defence-meets-RPG mashup was compellingly deep and astonishingly addictive.
"It is tremendously successful franchise," Reverb Publishing CEO Doug Kennedy said, chatting with Joystiq. "We have lots of plans to support it both with DLC and additional add-ons for the franchise."
There's still more DLC on the way in addition to "The Lost Eternia Shards: Mistymire Forest", with three more slices of downloadable content coming to all platforms. DLC. On Steam, however, players will also be privy to the New Heroes Pack, the Barbarian character, Assault Mission Pack, Nightmare Mode and more besides. These, though, will not be making it to consoles due to "technical and business" concerns.
Congratulations to Reverb and Trendy Entertainmenton their success, long may it continue! You can check out Jon's glowing Dungeon Defenders review right here.
