Dungeon Defenders, Trendy Entertainment's tower defence/RPG hybrid, will be making its cross-platform debut in two weeks' time. PC owners can now pre-order it at a 10% discount on a number of digital platforms, but Steam pre-order customers will be able to enjoy a range of Valve-themed bonuses that include nods to Portal and Team Fortress 2 as well as powerful in-game bonuses. Check out the details after the break.
Pre-ordering on Steam will unlock The Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (AKA Portal Gun) for the Huntress hero class. Constantly consuming energy when active, this device allows its user to open portals from one location to another and can be used to greatly extend a trap’s range, quickly teleport across the map, or confound enemies!
You'll also net four Team Fortress 2 familiars to assist you in battle:
- The Heavy: Uses his Gatling gun to shoot at enemies from afar.
- The Engineer: Repairs groups of nearby towers while you’re on the offensive.
- The Medic: Heals a group of nearby allies amidst battle.
- The Pyro: Uses a flame-thrower to set your foes on fire.
