Denis Dyack has been dropping a few tidbits here and there for the next-gen title that Silicon Knights has been busily working upon, without ever really giving too much away. However, a recent statement suggests that the rumours and rumblings of a follow-up to Eternal Darkness might not be too far from the mark.
Unless of course, we're wrong and the most requested game is in fact Cyber Empires or Too Human.
"We're really excited and we're working on our next generation stuff. We're working on an IP that's our most requested and we're really excited about that," said studio boss Denis Dyack to GI.biz.
"We're smaller, obviously," he said, in light of the recent layoffs, "and we're going back to our roots. I'm really looking forward to a point in time when we can talk about it, it's just not today. That's the current state of things. I think the state of our demise has been greatly exaggerated. Here we are. We're here."
The assumption is, of course, that the title in question is Eternal Darkness, considering Dyack's teasing comments earlier this month, but this has been the party line at the studio since last year, and with rumours of a Soul Reaver re-release circling, perhaps we could be seeing a return for Blood Omen instead.
