E3 2011: Microsoft Press Conference - Live Blog

We're expecting Gears 3, a shedload of Kinect stuff and more news on Microsoft's pledge to revitalise the entertainment side of things in the near future. Will Steve Ballmer emerge bearing his own cross? Will the lucky attendees be graced with new gifts? Is there anyway Microsoft can salvage this E3 and prevent themselves from coming in third in the face of Project Cafe and the NGP?

Follow @jon_dealspwn for live coverage of the EA and Ubisoft pressers! I'm three rows from the front and ready for...well...Mass Effect, Madden and SWTOR.

At the Sony presser now, will do the business @jon_dealspwn. Also keep in touch with loads of indie studios there if you're interested in that kind of thing.

Guys, who do you think is winning E3 at the moment?

Both conferences weren't particularly great. Microsoft's conference was just awful, though. A load of trite Kinect games that look like they don't work properly, Halo 4 (not unexpected, and I really don't care), the Halo "remake" being just a HD refresh, and Lionhead making something that looks awful.

On the PS3 front, Sony was just showing stuff we already know about, like Unchy 3 (which looks great), and Sly 4, which isn't being made by Sucker Punch unfortunately. The NGP price was a refreshing surprise, with plenty of good games announced for that. Sony's conference was okay, then, but underwhelming compared to previous years.

Also the Playstation RyVita name is a bit horrifying, but the console looks great.
