EA Capture UFC License

Multi-year Contract In The Bag

Among the ten reveals of EA’s press conference, UFC president Dana White came on stage to make a rather shocking announcement that EA had signed the rights to make UFC licensed games. This comes after the moderate success of THQ’s latest effort, Undisputed 3, which was warmly received by industry critics earlier this year.

This is a huge acquisition for EA after their attempt to hustle in on the action with their previous effort EA MMA, and THQ must certainly be hurting from this announcement. Although we weren’t given much news other than “it’s happening,” we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any further developments as E3 progresses.

Silly Carl., EA didn't make Supremacy. They made EA MMA. *POW*

@mattdenton Right in the kisser :( Edited and now I'm going to go and wake myself up. I blame late night E3 madness, dag-nam-it. Cheers for the heads up!

Mixed reaction to this.

The new game plays brilliantly but the online is shocking and if EA are good at thing it's fixing the online. Only problem is they will change the whole game to be like EA MMA which I wasn't a huge fan of.

If they could implement a similar ranked system to Fifa where similar rated fights were paired off I'd be happy. Got really boring having GSP smash through the lower rated random fighters I'd be assigned.
