EA have confirmed that there'll be new Dead Space and Need For Speed entries coming before the end of the current financial year.
The information had leaked out a couple of weeks ago, after a South African retailer, the same one responsible for leaking the Jak & Daxter HD Collection before its official reveal, stuck up listings for Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2. But EA mentioned both franchises in yesterday's investor call.
The latter's release window has been narrowed down to Q3 FY2013 (October to December 2012), although there are no details regarding Dead Space's return, only that it'll release before March 31st, 2013. The smart money would be on a launch in early 2013, considering the success of its predecessor in that window.
We heard some rumours of an icy return for Isaac last year, and Criterion have been confirmed to be beavering away on a new "arcade-racer". After the somewhat disappointing NFS: The Run, it'd be good to see them back in the driving seat, considering that fantastic Burnout Paradise and NFS: Hot Pursuit.
