EA Tops UK Publishing Sales Charts In 2012

Chart-Track have revealed that the gigantic behemoth that is EA proved to be the best-selling physical games publisher in the UK during 2012, no doubt boosted by the unswerving chart success of FIFA 13, no to mention Mass Effect 3's emergence earlier in the year.Activision came in second, with Skylanders: Giants and Black Ops II filling the coffers, and Ubisoft came third, off of the back of a successful winter that saw Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3 sell well, with the latter taking a number of the Game of the Year awards.

No showing for Sony, though, who had a quiet year, although it should be noted that this list only took physical copies sold into account.

Here's the top ten in full:

1. EA
2. Activision
3. Ubisoft
4. Nintendo
5. Microsoft
6. Sega
7. Warner Bros
8. Take-Two
9. THQ
10. Square Enix
