Eagle-Eyed Fans Accuse EA Of Copying Warhammer 40K Tanks In C&C: Tiberium Alliances

Reddit has whipped into a frenzy over the last 24 hours thanks to some interesting comparisons made by observant fans. It appears that several vehicle designs for upcoming browser-based RTS Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances are flagrant copies of vehicles from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, including the Baneblade and Ork Bonecruncha.

The resemblance is startling. Blatant, even. A picture is worth a thousand words, and German developer Phenomic may have some explaining to do.

Neither EA nor Games Workshop have commented as yet - but in fairness, it's possible that the design team intended these designs to be an homage (or even an Easter egg of sorts) to Warhammer 40,000. We'll let you know if Games Workshop deploy the lawyers or Phenomic issues a statement.
