We couldn't really understand why Nintendo would create a game that involves collecting as much bling as you can possibly find, but provide no real incentive to do so.
Well, that's all changed, as Nintendo announced this week that players who earn over 1 million coins in the game will nab themselves a shiny new certificate to commemorate their gold digging achievements.
Having launched the Millionaire Coin Hunt, Nintendo are encouraging players to upload pictures of themselves holding their 3DS consoles aloft with onscreen proof of their millionaire tally to earn their written reward. Get your money-grabbing skates on, though, as the Hunt ends on March 31st.
