When you really need to let off some steam there’s nothing quite like unleashing the wrath of Mother Nature upon some helpless city in Elements of Destruction. So if you own a DS and are looking for a bit of gaming catharsis, EOD is now going for just £5.73 at the hut. According to a price comparison this gives you a nice saving of over £7 compared with the next best price of £12.98.
The story behind Elements of Destruction centres upon a disenfranchised weatherman who, with the ability to manipulate the weather as he sees fit, embarks on a crusade of destruction after he loses his job. Basically the idea of the game is to unleash everything from tornados, storms, blizzards, earthquakes and even meteors upon the helpless city, and pretty much kill as many people possible within the allotted time.
The game is by all accounts an absolute hoot with the weatherman devastating everything from skyscrapers to idyllic suburbs with Old Testament style fury. It is also a much more challenging game than you might think with a lot of emphasise on strategy. With their tight time limits, most players will need several attempts to pass some of the later levels
About the only drawback with the game comes with its poor visuals and sound quality which unfortunately do somewhat undermine the gameplay. However Elements of Destruction is still a very decent title, scoring 7/10 on IGN, and one which would definitely make an entertaining addition to your DS game collection.
