The entire Total War franchise gets free Steam weekend & big discounts

Total War is now 15 years old, so to celebrate, Creative Assembly will let you download and play the entire franchise for free over the weekend! If you like what you play, you can then buy and keep the games at a serious discount.

There are some great prices here, such as Total War: Rome II Emperor Edition for £7.49. Grab some cheap Steam Wallet top-up cards to make your money go even further!

The games are good, but as a word of warning, get to turn 100 in multiplayer and they fall over.... a lot..

I've never forgiving CA for Shogun Total War 2; we wasted an entire day playing it only the have the game crash and no longer work (with that save game) after turn 100ish.

Similar stories of woe have been told by my friend in the other games of the series.

They could have admittedly called it "15 years of bugs."
