Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games at the moment, and it's not hard to see why as it's got a massive map to explore, a load of interesting characters, some great story threads, and a brilliant selection of weapons.
You can get hold of a copy of the game for £10.99 from Gameplay, which is exactly £1 cheaper than the next best offer of £11.99 coming in from Amazon.
There's no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to this game, there have been so many times when I've jumped onto the computer for a strictly monitored 15 minutes of gameplay only to rip myself away from the screen an hour or two later having cleared out a super mutant lair or taken care of a few ghouls.
The main campaign'll last you a pretty long time, and there's no end of additional tasks to complete whilst you're roaming around the vast wasteland of Washington DC. You'll come up against a number of mutated creatures on your adventures, so it pays to search the environments for armour and weapons, some of which can be created at repair benches.
The game of the year edition comes with five fantastic add-ons, including The Pitt, Operation Anchorage, Mothership Zeta, Point Lookout, and Broken Steel. My favourites of the five are Mothership Zeta, where you're abducted by little grey aliens and have to fight your way off of their mothership, and Point Lookout, where you'll be jumping out of the way of buckshot from the double barrel shotgun wielding hillbillies who inhabit the area.
For £10.99 this is an absolute steal and you should definitely get your hands on a copy if you've not done so already.
