OK, so it looks like the Fallout: New Vegas patch 1.3 that hit Xbox 360 consoles this morning actually needs . . . well, a patch I suppose, which is bad luck for those of you who have already downloaded it, and those of you who haven't should steer clear of it for now.
At this point you might be curious as to what patch 1.3 may do to your console, or furious if you've experienced it for yourself. Basically, it's been causing save game issues, which isn't what you want with a game you need to invest a lot of time in, and it's also been the reason behind a system crash or two.
In response to dare I say one or two negative bits of feedback, Bethesda issued the following on Twitter:
We're aware some folks are having New Vegas save issues. We're working with Microsoft on this and should have more information soon.
I for one am glad that I saw this bit of news before I loaded up New Vegas once more and accepted the patch, and if you're in the same situation I'd imagine that you are too, just make sure you continue to decline it until it's been fixed. For those of you who've already let it onto your systems, you have my commiserations, and hopefully the issues'll be resolved quickly. Either way, we'll let you know what's going on when we know more. [vg247]
