In my recent 7/10 review of The Fancy Pants Adventures, I praised Brad Borne's breakthrough console title for its outstanding art design, fantastic art design and raucous local multiplayer... but couldn't get past its finicky implementation. However, after reading our appraisal, Borne dropped us a line to let us know that he agrees with our critique - and that he's working on an update to make multiplayer more accessible and rewarding.
I think your criticisms are spot on, and I'm pushing really hard to get an update through, I'd like to attempt to address everything you mentioned, as well as a few other things.
It kills me that we didn't release that 'absolutely outstanding' game, but I'm pushing to still make that happen. - Brad Borne via email
I'll be keeping in touch with Brad throughout the process and will be sure to keep you in the loop. As it stands, though, I'd heartily recommend checking out The Fancy Pants Adventures - especially if you love throwing down with a few mates!
UPDATE: More details will become available when the team meets to decide what may or may not be feasible in a free patch.
