Far Cry is absolutely brilliant, offering freedom and focus in equal measure. And for my money, Far Cry 2 is the most underrated game of this generation - at least in terms of the general gaming consensus as opposed to our glowing critical praise. Both games can now be yours for under a fiver, which isn't the cheapest we've ever seen, but is pretty good for this time of year.
If you've never played either of the excellent Far Cry games, Steam are offering a mighty tempting incentive to rectify this grave mistake. Far Cry Complete - which bundles the original game and the sequel's Fortune Edition, which packs the entire game plus all its post-release content - has been slashed from £14.98 to a measly £3.74. That's 75% off, and if you're a Steam user who's yet to set foot on the tropical sprawl of Far Cry, well; you've got no excuse now, have you?
It's hardcore jungle survival bundle time, folks! The first Far Cry is a work of utter genius, loved by all and putting a little company called Crytek on the map. The sequel, however, is one of the most divisive games ever made. Personally, I consider it to be one of the most authentic, brutal and engaging FPS titles on the market... but plenty of gamers were put off by the fact that it refused to hold their hand every step of the way. What can't be argued, however, is that getting both of them for £4.99 is a bit of a bargain.
