Get Fate for Free when you like WildTangent Games on Facebook [PC games]

When you're offered a game for free, or anything for that matter, your mind immediately jumps to the conclusion that there's got to be some sort of catch, but in this case WildTangent Games are asking for something that requires very little effort on your part.

In order to get your hands on a free copy of Fate, all you have to do is 'like' WildTangent Games on Facebook and in return they'll send an unlock code for the game to your Facebook wall on the 14th June at around 3pm PST!

Fate feels like the illegitimate love child of the Dungeon Keeper and Diablo series. Players are dropped into dungeons which progress in difficulty and have a randomised layout, the latter of which is a big plus point as it helps to increase the re-playability of the game. As soon as you hit the cold stone floor you'll be able to take on quests, collect gold, and build up your character's abilities.

Accompanying you on your journey is your faithful pet, which starts off as either a dog or a cat, but can be temporarily or permanently transformed into a more powerful form if you take the time out to feed it some fish. It's a good idea to keep your pet onside and try to improve its abilities as much as your own, as it will loyally fight by your side and just so happens to be invincible! However, thats not to say it can't get hurt during a battle, in fact if it takes too much damage it'll run away with its tail between its legs, and you'll need to heal it before it can fight alongside you once more.

Whether you end up loving or hating Fate, when you're getting it for free you've really got nothing to lose by downloading it and giving it a go.

Didn't Wild Tangent have a reputation in the past for including spyware embedded within the installer?

This was a long time ago tho, things may have changed.
